This tea has almost a creamy mouth feel, is naturally a tiny bit sweet and has an earthiness that reminds me of the smell after a warm summer rain combined with the fragrance of woods- the smell of trees and leaves, moss and earth.  If one could convert that fragrance combination into a great tasting flavor then this might be it!

I came across Mighty Leaf Matcha Green Tea unexpectedly while grocery shopping and couldn’t resist the urge to try it! I am happy to say I was pleasantly surprised by the first sip. Overall the taste is on the mineral/sea salt side. Don’t get me wrong- this is NOT “salty”, but it has that faint aroma or essence of salt- like salt air, or the ocean.

On first taste of this tea you may agree it has a very striking and savory vegetal component with only a slight creaminess and a mildly discernible sweetness. This tea requires careful attention to water temperature, as with most green tea.
