Green Tea Blueberry Basil Smoothie
This green tea smoothie recipe honestly doesn’t taste much like green tea, and that is the point. If you don’t like green tea, but still want to benefit from it, I added this with you in mind! I started with a full 8 oz of green tea (look here to learn how to make green tea), frozen into tiny ice cubes (although you can make whatever size you want), and added some of my favorite smoothie ingredients until the taste seemed like… dessert. I hope you enjoy!
And by the way, if basil seems like a weird ingredient in the mix, you don’t have to add it, but in the final drink it really just lends a little balance so I don’t think you will notice it in an invasive way if you don’t like basil.
Ingredients
1 sliced, frozen banana
8 oz green tea, frozen into cubes
1 container plain greek yogurt (usually about 5-7 oz)
1 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup coconut water
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
2 basil leaves
Directions
Add all ingredients to blender and pulse or blend until it reaches thick milkshake consistency.
